Cookie policy

ToolAdvisor uses a consent-first cookie setup for optional analytics and keeps the compare tool usable when optional analytics are denied.

Last updated: April 29, 2026

Cookie categories

ToolAdvisor uses necessary cookies or local storage for consent, security, session continuity, and basic site operation.

Optional analytics cookies or identifiers are used only after consent. The current optional analytics service is Odali Analytics, which gates Google Analytics loading through tarteaucitron consent.

Consent manager

The cookie banner is powered by tarteaucitron and is configured in high-privacy mode. Optional analytics are denied until the visitor accepts them.

The consent cookie name is site-scoped so consent for one Odali-powered site does not need to control every other site.

Analytics behavior

If analytics are accepted, the site may send page view and interaction events to measure which decision pages and compare flows are useful.

If analytics are denied or the monthly AI limit is reached, the compare tool still works through deterministic matching.

Manage consent

You can reopen the cookie panel with the cookie settings link below.

Browser settings can also delete cookies or block storage, but doing so may reset consent choices or local compare preferences.

Open the consent panel to accept, deny, or change optional analytics consent.

Buyer guidance

Built to make the hidden cost of a tool easier to see.

ToolAdvisor closes every recommendation around the work that survives adoption: pricing pressure, switching cleanup, reporting burden, seat expansion, job match, and the regret cases teams usually discover too late.

Benchmarks before claims

Authority assets exist to make pricing, migration, reporting, and AI visibility easier to inspect and reuse.

Use case before features

The system treats tools as buying choices, not feature bundles. The useful question is what changes after adoption.

Controls before growth

Access and APIs help us validate product fit and operating signals. They do not influence rankings or verdicts.
